更新をサボっている間に，今年もアカデミー賞の季節がやってきました．

さて，今年の勝者は．
- Best animated feature film of the year
“Ratatouille”
- Best animated short film
“Peter & the Wolf”
- Achievement in visual effects
“The Golden Compass”
Pixarはようやくの受賞です．今年は敵はいなかった感じなので，順当な結果でしょうか？
visual effectsの方は”Transformers”だと思っていたんですがねえ．毎年自分の予想はあまり当たりません（笑）．”The Golden Compass”は見損ねたまま未見なのですが，物量は多そうです．ただやっぱり”The Chronicles of Narnia”と被ってる感が強くて，あまり新しさは感じられないのですが… それにしても最近はファンタジー流行りですな．
さて，実は今回のScientific & Technical Awardで，日本の方が受賞されています．

“To Dr. Doug Roble, Nafees Bin Zafar and Ryo Sakaguchi for the development of the fluid simulation system at Digital Domain”
Digital Domain社内で使われているfluid simulation systemが認められての受賞です．今回のSci-Tech Awardsは，たくさんのfluild simulation systemが同時に受賞していますね．Rhythm & Hues，ILM，Maya Fluid，Flowline．PixarやTweak Films，Frantic Filmsも自前のを持っているはずですけど，入っていませんね．
受賞された坂口亮さんは授賞式のスピーチもされました．インタビューも合わせて見られる映像がありましたので，紹介しておきます．
